What You’ll Experience

🎚️ Day 1: The Sonic Experimentation Lab

Before we hit record, we explore sound itself. This will be a fun deep dive into gear and creative techniques:

• A/B test microphones, preamps, and gear to hear real differences.
• Try out various recording setups—ribbon vs. condenser, analog vs. digital, close vs. ambient.
• Learn how to shape sound at the source instead of relying on mixing later.
• Dive into recording philosophy and creative decision-making.

🎸 Day 2: Recording  – Bringing the Song to Life

• Now it’s time to capture a real song, working hands-on in the studio:
• We'll apply techniques from Day 1 to make deliberate sound choices.
• Collaborate with musicians, producers, and engineers in real-time.
• By the end of the day, we’ll have a fully recorded track ready for mixing.

🎛️ Day 3: The Interactive Mix Lab – Shaping the Final Sound

• Group listening session to break down the raw recording.
• Explore different mix strategies—subtle vs. bold, dry vs. ambient, warm vs. bright.
• Hands-on workflow exploration and problem-solving.
• Q&A deep dive into real-world mixing challenges.
